Labor is considering reinstating the Queensland Literary Awards, according Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

"That is something that I am happy to give some consideration to," Ms Palaszczuk told reporters on Thursday afternoon.
"I will be getting some further advice on that in coming days," she said.
The scheme was axed by Campbell Newman in April 2012, soon after he became premier.
At the time Mr Newman argued it was part of the LNP's cost-cutting drive and the move would save the government $244,000 in grant money.
The idea was not flagged before, or during the 2012 Queensland election campaign, and became one of the early community rally points against the new LNP government in 2012.
The literary community went on to establish its own awards.
Past winners of the Queensland Literary Awards have included Tim Winton (The Turning in 2005), Richard Flanagan (Wanting 2009), Helen Garner (The Spare Room 2008) and Peter Carey (The True Story of the Kelly Gang 2001).
