The parliamentary timetable lays out the Queensland Parliament's sitting days, the 2015 Estimates timetable and the date of the Queensland Budget.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk could also make an announcement about Queensland's Speaker of the House after being informed on Thursday that Opposition Leader Lawrence Springborg would not object to Sunshine Coast independent MP Peter Wellington taking on the role.

Meanwhile Ken Levy's position as acting head of the Crime and Corruption Commission will be advertised very soon, Ms Palaszczuk said.

The acting head of the Crime and Corruption Commission has been investigated by police since 2013.

Dr Levy is accused of lying to the Parliamentary Crime and Misconduct Committee over the extent of contact he had with the state government before he published an opinion piece in the Courier Mail on October 31, backing the former Newman Government's anti-bikie legislation.

He initially told the committee he had not met anyone from the state government, but later amended his statement to say he met with the government's senior media adviser Lee Anderson before publishing the opinion piece.

Mr Anderson was head of former premier Campbell Newman's media department.

Queensland Police on Thursday afternoon said the investigation into Dr Levy was "in its final consideration."

Ms Palaszczuk said she believed the police investigation into Dr Levy was nearly finished.

"Everybody is aware that the police investigation has followed on from us questioning him at Estimates," Ms Palaszczuk said.

"I would hope that that investigation is wrapped up soon.

"It has been going on for quite a considerable amount of time and hopefully that will be released shortly."

Meanwhile Ms Palaszczuk said Mr Springborg's views that he would not oppose Mr Wellington as Speaker were interesting.

"It does give me food for thought," she said.

Earlier on Thursday Ms Palaszczuk announced a million-dollar grant to Queensland's four main charities working in the Cyclone Marcia-affected area.
