The drug scandal that has embroiled Queensland sport in the past week escalated quickly and while there's still reportedly more to come, we seem to be at a momentary pause as sports sit in holding patterns.
The eight people who have been charged in the past week are mainly athletes and are linked to the same investigation that saw former rugby league players Jason Smith and Matt Seers charged in January.
The severity of the charges levelled at the players is pretty clear but who are those involved?
Here's a rundown of who has been implicated so far, all as part of a six-month long Queensland Crime and Corruption Comission investigation centred on a south-east Queensland cocaine trafficking syndicate.
The Queensland Crime and Corruption Commission stated on Tuesday that any further athlete arrests would likely be made by the end of this week or early next week.
