CEO Dave Smith says cashed-up NRL to consider more teams and fewer games

NRL chief executive Dave Smith has confirmed that a decision would be made this year on whether to expand the competition in 2018 and revealed that consideration would also be given to reducing the number of premiership rounds to accommodate more events and representative fixtures, such as the expanded World Club Series.
