Murray Engineering has been in Mount Isa since 2011, but has recently moved into new premises at Engineering Road.
The new premises is situated on 2000 square metres land area.
The site is fully concreted and with a fully enclosed multi bay workshop.
Murray Engineering’s new branch manager John Boswell said the expansion outlined long-term confidence in the region.
Mr Boswell recently relocated from Western Australia to take up this position.
“Our business in Mount Isa continues to grow and we recognised the need to gear up for machining and component rebuilds in Mount Isa and be less reliant on our other operations for component supply,” he said.
“With us commencing a new HV Electrical project in Mount Isa shortly, office space was also a constraint which is alleviated by our move.
‘‘We want to emulate the diversity of our services in our other operations, this facility allows that.’’
Murray Engineering will continue to have access to the premises in Enterprise Road which homes the other associated companies, Byrnecut and Jetcrete.
