Rainfall in the catchment areas has resulted in the Leichhardt River flowing again, with many crossings closed due to water over the road.
Water levels at Lake Moondarra have risen slightly, with a rise of half a per cent to 78.9 per cent and Lake Julius sitting at 97.8 per cent.
Bureau of Meteorology Mount Isa field office manager Scott Adams said there was a small chance of further rain.
“Tuesday there is a chance of a shower or storm more likely in the Gulf Country with more hot weather throughout the North West,” he said.
“Our maximum temperatures were two to four degrees above average in the North West and an average of three degrees higher in Mount Isa throughout the month of February.”
