The pair will star on Channel 7’s Better Homes and Gardens after crews made their first - and hopefully not their last - trip to the North West.
Better Homes and Gardens host Johanna Griggs said the visit to Mount Isa would show off the city and its new celebrities to Australia.
“We are doing a story on Jac and Shaz, cross promoting their roll on My Kitchen Rules with Better Homes and Gardens,” she said.
“So throughout the year we pick a couple of teams - and I think they have captured the attention on Australians all over the place and put Mount Isa on the map.”
“They are so down the earth and have been hugely popular.”
“They will be cooking and we will be checking out their little store (Oasis Fashion) and we have already been to the lookout.”
“We were there last night and we got some beautiful sunset shots and beautiful city vistas, so hopefully we will be show casing off the town a little bit.”
Ms Griggs was astounded by the beauty upon arriving in Mount isa.
“I could not stop looking out the window of the plane, it was just stunningly beautiful,’ she said.
“Everyone keeps telling me that it’s a good time to come because you have had a bit of rain and it is looking green and amazing.”
“I think it’s the colours that really strike you, just that rich red and last night I have to say that looking at that mine as the sun went down was super beautiful.”
At the time of this interview, Ms Griggs had not yet met ‘Jac and Shaz’ but she said after watching the show they seem like great people.
“Having watched them on the show they are very down to earth and straight shooters so I’m looking forward to hanging out with them and meeting their kids today,” she said.
