The Hawks have recalled premiership players Ben McEvoy, Will Langford and Jonathan Simpkin to their squad of 27 along with youngsters Angus Litherland and James Sicily.

Veteran ruckman David Hale has been rested while Alex Woodward, Daniel Howe and Marc Pittonet have also been left out.

Brendan Whitecross was overlooked despite last week making his comeback from a serious knee injury via the VFL.

The Saints have made a raft of changes to their squad with senior players Adam Schneider, Sam Fisher, Dylan Roberton and Tom Curren all added along with Tom Lee, Spencer White and Lewis Pierce.

Making way for them are Jarryn Geary, David Armitage, Billy Longer and Seb Ross, who is in the early stages of recovery from a serious hamstring injury sustained against Essendon a fortnight ago.

Josh Saunders and American rookie Jason Holmes have been omitted as well.
