Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has asked Police Commissioner Ian Stewart to investigate allegations made against a government MP by his former partner.

Ms Palaszczuk wrote to Mr Stewart on Friday evening, hours after further allegations against Billy Gordon were made public on a website linked to former LNP MP, Gavin King.
After initially declining to comment, Ms Palaszczuk, who told Parliament on Friday morning she expected her MPs to adhere to the highest of standards, referred the allegations to police.
She is understood to have received the letter which outlined the allegations on March 18. which she referred to Labor state secretary Evan Moorehead.
Mr Moorehead has been in contact with the woman to rectify the child support issues and Ms Palaszczuk said he had encouraged the woman to speak to police about the other allegations if she believed necessary.

In her letter to Commissioner Stewart, Ms Palaszczuk said "since that time, details of the allegations have been made public".
"In light of this fact, I feel it is now incumbent on me to refer the matters to the Queensland Police Service for its consideration and investigation of the allegations as appropriate," she wrote.
"...I ask that you investigate these matters to ascertain whether there is any evidence of the commission of criminal offences."
Mr Gordon's former partner had contacted several MPs last week alleging Mr Gordon had not paid her child support and had neglected to lodge tax returns, so he would not have to declare his income, among other issues.
In his personal address to parliament on Friday morning, to address a Courier-Mail story which detailed part of the letter's allegations involving child support, Mr Gordon hinted it contained more.
"In 2006 a relationship I was in came to an end. At the outset, I want to acknowledged that the relationship gave me two beautiful children, both of whom I love with every fibre of my being. Every fibre of my being. However, the relationship I shared with their mother included good times and not so good times.
"There were times when both of us failed to behave as adults should and I certainly bear full responsibility for my actions.
"Unfortunately the relationship did not end on a positive note. It was an extremely upsetting period, after which I independently sought counselling. The counselling involved the self-appraisal process where I admitted to my former partner some personal failures as well as challenges I had faced in my life. Over time, I moved on and feel privileged to have been able to start afresh while at the same time providing support to my ex-partner and my children."
In addressing the matter in Parliament on Friday, Ms Palaszczuk said she was "absolutely furious".
"I made it fundamentally clear to the member for Cook that he must get his house in order immediately," she said.
With Labor holding power through the support of independent MP Peter Wellington, any by-election could see a change of government.
Ms Palaszczuk, who had railed against the previous government's failure to act swiftly following allegations made against disgraced MP Scott Driscoll, said she had made integrity and accountability "one of the cornerstone principles of my government".
