With a decision on the fate of 34 past and present Essendon players to be handed down on Tuesday, the supplements saga's impact is being felt as far down as in suburban practice matches. Much like their AFL-listed counterparts and NAB Challenge, players from Essendon's list 2012 currently playing in the suburbs and the country were advised not to play in trial games earlier in the month, as doing so would mean running the risk losing time accrued as part of a provisional suspension. This has also been the case at state league level, where several former Bombers have sat out early WAFL games pending the AFL anti-doping tribunal verdict.
