With a top two secured already, Warrigals were able to rotate their large squad around in a number of positions while Keas are hungry for more success as they hit form at the right time of the season.
The competition front runners were the first to score through fullback Cody Tully in the 10th minute.
Keas, who have been playing with great confidence recently, replied moments later with a try from William Teakura in the 17th minute.
Warrigals scored the next three tries through backs Chris Thinee and Ryan Cassady but Keas fullback Louis Mothe hit back with a try for his team going into half-time down 17-10.
Warrigals fullback scored his second try of the game after an individual weaving run through the Keas line.
Keas brought the score margin back to five points in the 73rd minute, but after a sin bin and a Warrigals penalty goal the result was now out of reach.
Warrigals coach Rob Peters praised the losing side in what he described as a “scrappy game”.
“Full credit to them (Keas). We knew it was going to be a hard match. It’s not a walk over with them. They’ve come into form at the right time too,” Peters said.
