The rain is clearing and flood water is receding, but south-east Queensland is still feeling the effects of Wednesday morning's severe weather.

Most areas Brisbane's eastern suburbs south to the Gold Coast recorded more than 100 millimetres of rain.
At Park Road station a tree fell across the train tracks and is causing lengthy delays to more than half of the city's train lines.
On the Bruce Highway northbound traffic is backed up past Caboolture. The snarl built up after a car towing a caravan rolled into a creek at Elimbah.
Fire fighters used the jaws of life to free a 70-year-old man from the car before he was taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a critical condition.
They spent about an hour searching the creek for any signs of a potential second passenger but called off the search just after 11.20am.
The highway was completely blocked with diversions in place. One lane has since re-opened but motorists are still being urged to expect long delays.
In a separate incident earlier in the morning, two swift water rescue technicians dove into floodwaters on the corner of Zillmere and Muller roads, Zillmere, to rescue the trapped driver.
They were also called to flooded cars in Ormeau and Holmview, where the drivers had already left their vehicles.
In Brisbane's north-west, a woman died following a two-car crash on a wet road.
The 55-year-old died at the scene after her sedan collided with a four-wheel drive on Mount Samson Road, Yugar, about 6am.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
In Logan, a large tree collapsed at Park Ridge State High School, injuring six students.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the children were treated for cuts and bruises but not taken to hospital.

State Emergency Service crews received more than 60 calls for help across the south-east, mostly for tarps to protect leaky roofs.
The RACQ said it received almost 1800 calls for patrol and towing jobs.

A flood warning that was in place for south-east has since been cancelled.
However, before the upper trough over the region cleared, it dumped 26 millimetres of rainfall at Brisbane Airport from midnight, and 128 millimetres at the Gold Coast Seaway.
Bureau of Meteorology spokesman Jess Carey said the heaviest falls were around Jacobs Well and Pimpama, on the northern Gold Coast, where the Rocky Point Sugar Mill recorded up 195 millimetres.
He said the heaviest rain had passed, but scattered showers would remain.
And there's bad news for the Easter long weekend, with a new system predicted to move in on Friday, bringing daily falls of 20 to 50 millimetres.
"Depending on how quickly it moves off the coast those showers could even move into Monday as well, although at this stage Monday would be the pick of the days," Mr Carey said.
