Cook MP Billy Gordon resigned from the Labor Party on Monday, ahead of his expulsion for what Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk labelled "dishonesty".

Fairfax Media revealed on Wednesday that another woman had alleged she was the victim of domestic violence at the hands "of another member of your government" who was not Mr Gordon.

The woman did not disclose who she was speaking about in her allegation, leaving Labor unsure if she was referring to a MP. It has launched an investigation.

Treasurer Curtis Pitt said the government was calling on its members to disclose any issues which could possibly come back to bite them.

The past of Pumicestone MP Rick Williams was publicised by News Corp on Wednesday, however Mr Williams had disclosed those issues to the party previously.

Mr Pitt said it was about "disclosure" and "being upfront".

"People will tolerate people who are upfront about the fact that they may not have had the easiest life, may have not handled things well in the past," he said.

"It's when you are not upfront with people. That's what we are asking.

"Clearly the government would be eager to find out if there is any other concerns because we want to be upfront with those and tell the people of Queensland where we may have concerns.

"I'm confident we have a good group of people but of course we need to be sure that they are telling us their full stories and I think that would go for the Opposition as well.

"No doubt there may be people in the Opposition benches who may have some concerns that they should probably be coming out with as well.

"If this is a case of getting the government's house in order, it should equally be a case of getting the Opposition's house in order."

State Secretary Evan Moorhead said the party executive was working with the parliamentary leadership team to find out if there was anything missed in the pre-selection vetting process.

"We have already done that process once, but we want to know [if anything else wasn't disclosed]," he said.

Mr Pitt said the government was taking the allegations that Mr Gordon domestically abused his partner and the second allegation against a different member of the government "very seriously".
