The controversial acting chairman of the Crime and Corruption Commission has no criminal case to answer over claims he deliberate mislead Parliament, the Queensland Police Service announced on Thursday.

The police investigation into Ken Levy was launched last year after a Labor MP referred the matter to Police Commissioner Ian Stewart.
"The QPS investigation determined no criminal proceedings will be commenced against Dr Levy in respect of the matter referred by Mr Bill Byrne MP," the QPS said in a statement.
"The QPS preliminary investigation report was subject to external Queen's Counsel advice which contributed to the completed investigation report.
"The Commissioner has this afternoon advised all concerned parties of the outcome."
Mr Byrne referred the matter to Mr Stewart last year, which led to the suspension of a parliamentary inquiry into the allegations.
Dr Levy had been accused of misleading the Parliamentary Crime and Misconduct Committee last year over how much contact he had with Newman government media officer Lee Anderson.
The meeting happened prior to an opinion piece by Dr Levy, supportive of the LNP's anti-bikie legislation, was published in a The Courier-Mail.
The furore erupted after Dr Levy and Mr Anderson gave conflicting evidence to a PCMC hearing.
Dr Levy said he was relieved the QPS had cleared him of criminal wrongdoing.
"I am aware that the matter is being considered by the Parliamentary Ethics Committee," he said.
"On that basis, I am declining to make any further comment at this time."
Shadow A-G Ian Walker said it was a welcome outcome for Mr Levy, who had endured a lengthy police investigation.
Mr Walker said would make no further comment until the outcome of Parliamentary Ethics Committee's deliberations was known.
It is a criminal offence to knowingly give false evidence to Parliament or its committees in Queensland, with a maximum penalty of seven years' jail.
