Police responded to an incident at Sonic HealthPlus Mount Isa GP Super Clinic at the end of Ryan Road about 12:45pm.
Mount Isa Police Shift Supervisor Scott Quinlivan said the incident resulted in a female being charged.
“A 28-year-old female attended the Sonic HealthPlus GP facility on Ryan road where there was an altercation between the 28-year-old female and a medical staff member requiring police attendance,” he said.
“Police investigations resulted in a notice to appear for offences including assault, public nuisance and obstructing police.”
A witness said the woman began an altercation after being allegedly “misdiagnosed” by a doctor.
As many as five police vehicles attended the incident.
1pm: POLICE swarmed the Sonic Health SuperGP clinic in Mount Isa after reports of an "angry patient" creating a disturbance.
Five police cars attended the scene at the health clinic on the corner of Ryan Road and Miles Street about 1pm on Wednesday.
A witness who was inside the building when the disturbance occurred said a female "went nuts" after believing she was "misdiagnosed" by doctors after an appointment at the clinic.
The clinic was not in lock-down, but police officers remained inside the building and patients allowed to enter and leave the building.
