The Gold Coast man accused of burning an Australian flag near Brisbane's Shrine of Remembrance was granted bail during an Anzac Day court hearing on Saturday.

But Palm Beach man Peter Di Iorio, 66, was banished from the Brisbane CBD and not allowed within 100 metres of any Anzac Day commemoration.
Mr Di Iorio was charged with public nuisance on Friday after he allegedly burnt an Australian flag in Anzac Square and spent Friday night behind bars.
In the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday, prosecutor Senior Sergeant Mark Gorton did not oppose bail, but did seek conditions to be attached to his release.
"Your honour, as you're aware the allegations are the defendant burnt a flag in Anzac Square yesterday in front of various media outlets in order to make a point and then continuing his disruptive behaviour to make his point," he said.
"He has been subject to a banning order from Safe Night Out precinct, so he can't return there.
"I would seek a special condition that he not attend any Anzac Day ceremonies today, that way he can't go out and make a spectacle of himself."
Magistrate Linda Bradford-Morgan granted those conditions and ordered Mr Di Iorio to leave Brisbane immediately upon his release from custody.
That led to the question of the location of Mr Di Iorio's car.
"He knows where the car is parked, but he can't tell me the name of the car park," defence laywer Chris Edwards told the court.
Because the route to the car park could well have taken Mr Di Iorio to Brisbane's Anzac Day parade, Senior Sergeant Gorton offered a police escort.
Ms Bradford-Morgan agreed.
"To manage the risk of reoffending, I am directing as a condition of your bail that police escort you to your car, which is in an unknown CBD car park," she told Mr Di Iorio.
"You are also not to attend any Anzac Day ceremony or approach within 100 metres of any Anzac Day ceremony – that includes Currumbin.
"You are also directed to immediately leave the Brisbane CBD upon your return to your vehicle."
Mr Di Iorio agreed to those conditions, but had a query for Ms Bradford-Morgan.
"May I ask a question? May this adjournment be dealt with on the Gold Coast?" he asked.
Mr Bradford-Morgan said it could not, as the alleged offence was committed "within the jurisdiction of the Brisbane court".
Mr Di Iorio was ordered to reappear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on May 27.
Outside the court, Mr Di Iorio said he understood that his actions could have caused offence, but he was trying to draw attention to his own family issues.
