Mr Crook faces charges of attempted fraud, trying to pervert the course of justice and retaliation of a witness.
Police allege Mr Crook, former private investigator Mick Featherstone and ex-Sydney Swans player Tony Smith were involved in a kidnap scheme where a NAB employee was tricked to attend a fake job interview on an Indonesian island.
Police claim the employee was pressured to record a video in which he contradicted testimony he gave in a court case involving Mr Smith.
Mr Crook did not appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday but was represented by lawyer Nathan Boyd.
Magistrate Linda Bradford-Smith adjourned the case because co-accused Mr Smith had lodged a legal professional privilege application in the Supreme Court.
Police said 80 per cent of the evidence brief related to that application.
There is no suggestion Mr Palmer had any involvement in the alleged activity.
Mr Crook was bailed in December and is fighting the charges.
His case returns to court on August 3.
