The North Gregory Hotel, Winton, has announced the appointment of Paata Khutsishvili as executive chef, managing the Daphne Mayo Dining Room.
Manager Ben Lanyon said he was also excited at the opportunity to bring Mr Khutsishvili’s wealth of experience to the popular Musical Cafe and Banjos Beer Garden.
‘‘We are very happy to welcome Paata to the North Gregory team,’’ he said.
‘‘Food is an important part of the experience of the North Gregory Hotel and we welcome someone with Paata’s experience, enthusiasm and commitment.
‘‘Paata brings a unique style of food to the North Gregory, combining elements of his traditional Georgian-style cooking with our modern Australian flavour to create a unique approach to food in the Winton area.’’
Mr Khutsishvili joins the North Gregory team with experience in restaurants throughout France, Germany and Russia, and more recently in Sydney at the Urban Cat Cafe, where he received positive reviews for his Georgian-style food.
