They meet over a week ago to decide their committee members, who include president Mace Bennett, secretary Brendon Kealley and treasurer Michael Brown.
Mr Bennett, 33, who has toured Afghanistan, East Timor and Iraq, said there was 16 members in the sub-branch but believed the numbers will increase following Anzac Day.
Community support and membership was welcomed.
“The more we can raise to assist those guys the more of a success we can become,” Mr Bennett said.
The sub-branch has committee members but more administration needs to be done.
Mr Bennett said the sub-branch needed to fix the RSL building based in Scarr Street which had fallen into disrepair since it was last used.
Other tasks the RSL sub-branch members worked on was teaching school children of the Cloncurry soldiers who served their country.
Members also met with several elderly veterans weekly at the nursing home.
