Captured on dash cam earlier this month, the driver overtakes a car on the Bass Highway almost causing a collision with an oncoming B-double truck.
The dangerous manoeuvre forces the truck to take evasive action, swerving into the shoulder of the highway.
The incident was captured on film and uploaded to Facebook.
It follows an almost identical event on the same highway near Hagley just recently.
The latest incident, days out from Road Safety Week, has disgusted Road Safety Advisory Council chairman Jim Cox.
"It's just frankly appalling that some drivers continue to put themselves and others at risk. I'd urge the public to dob in dopes like this," he said.
Tasmania Police backed the call and asked all road users to take responsibility for road safety .
"Police would like to remind the public of the extreme dangers of overtaking into the face of oncoming traffic. Such actions put all road users at risk of death or serious injury," Northern Road and Public Order Sergeant Nick Clark said.
Sergeant Clark said police were unable to track down the driver who was captured pulling a similar stunt on camera in February by Newnham's Jesse Rockliffe.
Mr Rockliffe and the truck in front of him were forced to swerve to miss the overtaking car.
The incident occurred near the site of a fatal crash.
