Strumming ($12) scored in the Burke Shire Cup – his first win for 17 starts – with jockey Terrence Hill aboard.
Enjoying barrier one, Strumming held off second favourite Haslington ($2.10) to score by 2.8 lengths with Abdicated in third.
The $2 favourite Tuatara ran last.
There was more joy for Parry when Surpasser ($15) lumped topweight with apprentice Tamara Tincknell aboard to take out the Benchmark 70 Handicap (1000m).
Surpasser edged out Artesian Express winner and race favourite Shantung Boxer ($2).
Flight Ruler ($7) scored for Julia Creek trainer Grant Wiles and jockey Steven Galvin in the Maiden Plate (800m) holding out $1.70 favourite Dollarise.
In the Class B Handicap (800m), the James Cairns-trained Transfusion ($6.50) continued his winning form with jockey Dan Ballard aboard.
Show Us The Way ($4.40) took out the Benchmark 60 Handicap (1150m) for trainer Bob Burow and hoop Keith Ballard.
The most impressive victory of the day came in the last when Requirement lumped 64kg to a 9-length victory in the Benchmark 60 Handicap (1500m).
Having his first run in the region for trainer Ted Snelling, the galloper cruised to victory with Tash Chambers in the saddle.
The Gregory Saddle and Paddle race day was hailed a success with six races throughout the day.
With fashion on the fields for the ladies, plenty of food, drinks and the horse races there was a little bit of fun for all.
Hill was announced the best jockey award and Parry won the award for best horse trainer.
