Before the home team's victory over Austrian Bundesliga cellar-dwellars Wiener Neustadt last Saturday, "Super Leo", Vienna's talisman, fittingly attended 'Löwenfest' (Lion festival) to celebrate his birthday, according to local newspaper Heute. 

Taking to the pitch, the 42-year-old Austrian man - in all his full-caped Big Cat glory - appears to lose his balance, staggering sideways before falling in a heap. As concerned paramedics and security staff attend the prone animal, he appears dizzy and disorientated before the bravado kicks in.

The crowd favourite pushes away security, dodging the stretcher to walk off on his own wobbly feet.

Fortunately, Leo suffered no injuries, apart from a dent to his, ahem, pride.

It's unclear weather he is wearing roller-skates or roller-blades, but the Toronto Raptors mascot was very audacious to try and skate down a flight of stairs.

Not once, but twice the raptor falls over, first on his backside, before executing a perfect face-plant.

Barkley has a real go 

NBA legend Charles Barkley was clearly having a joke with Denver Nuggets mascot Rocky and decided to give him a playful left hook because he didn't want to give the American basketball legend a handshake.

But the force of the blow flattened out Rocky onto the court, leaving Barkley a little confused as to what had just transpired.
