Anywhere Festival From strip clubs to sheds, the Anywhere Festival sees dozens of shows set up in weird and wonderful locations around Brisbane. There is theatre, dance, comedy, cabaret and so much more to choose from. Prices vary.

Unstable Moments Mira Oosterweghel is an artist whose work mostly revolves around using the body in performative ways to engage and question systems of power. Unstable Moments is her latest exhibition exploring this idea. The exhibition creates a situation that switches between the ideas of danger and play. Unstable Moments is in its last week of display, so make sure to catch it soon. Metro Arts. Free.

Michel Parekowhai: The Promised Land A major exhibition of one of New Zealand's leading contemporary artists. The GOMA gallery has been transformed into a "memory palace", exhibiting Parekowhai's work across two decades.  GOMA 10am – 5pm. Free.

Creative Generation Excellence in Visual Art An annual exhibition showcasing the outstanding achievements of senior visual art students from schools throughout Queensland.  GOMA 10am to 5pm. Free.

The View From Here This exhibition features the extraordinary work of amateur photographer, Alfred Elliott, whose images documented the evolution of Brisbane city over a period of 50 years, from 1890 to 1940. Museum of Brisbane 10am to 5pm. Free.

Dinosaur Discovery: Lost Creatures of the Cretaceous Featuring over 20 animated, life-size dinosaur models, Dinosaur Discovery gives visitors the chance to experience life on earth  145 Million years ago. Queensland Museum 9:30am to 5:00pm. Tickets $12/$15

Humanoid Discovery This exciting, hands-on exhibit allows visitors to study the human body in a fun and interactive environment. Attendees will test their pain receptors, see their pupils shrink with their own eyes and use their own senses to explore tastes, smells and mystery sounds.  Sciencentre 9:30am to 5:00pm. 7.00pm. Born Joy Dead. Put together by Ben Dalton of the Hungry Kids of Hungary, Born Joy Dead is a brand new musical project that has seen early success. 9.00am Artisan Marketplace. The Artisan gallery will be transformed into a pop-up market, pairing together Queensland makers and local food producers. 11.00pm. A Morning With Emily and Hayley. OperaQ favourites Emily Burke and Hayley Sugars will be doing a special morning experience for local opera enthusiasts. 5.00pm. Grand Pavilion. The Electronic music production duo Grand Pavilion will be bringing their hazy atmospheric tunes to Black Bear Lodge. 11.30am. Lights, Camera, Action! The Queensland Symphony Orchestra are putting on a performance sure to put a smile on everyone's face. 7.00pm. Rolls Bayce. Featuring Dean McGrath, former lead sing of the Hungry Kids of Hungary, James Wright from Millions, and Neal Apel, Rolls Bayce has finally launched their Australian tour. 7.30pm. Karnivool. Once they were a small, unknown, Australian act from Perth and now they are giants of their genre. Karnivool are Progressive Rock idols, and have played shows from The Roundhouse in London to the Trabendo in Paris. It is most often said that if you're a Tool fan, you'll be a Karnivool fan. This tour is celebrating 10 years since the release of their first album Themata, which means the show is sure to be dedicated to the album they put together with borrowed gear all those years ago.  The Triffid.
