The date when Legacy Way opens to cars remains a secret, however the public will be able to walk through the $1.5 billion tunnel in a few weeks.

The free sneak peek of the 4.6-kilometre tunnel, which links Toowong to Kelvin Grove, will take place on May 31 between 9am and 3pm.
Brisbane City Council Deputy Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the tunnel was "very close" to opening to cars and he believed this would occur in June.
"We know that there's been a lot of interest in this tunnel in the community particularly in the western suburbs and I'd encourage people to get involved in that walk-through," Cr Schrinner said.
Legacy Way operator Transurban is yet to release toll prices.
Those attending the tunnel opening need to register and will be taken to the tunnel via free shuttle buses, Pick-up and drop-off points will be at Roma Street, King George Square, Toowong, Indooroopilly and Darra.
It comes as Legacy Way enters its final commissioning phase with about 70,000 tests conducted before the tunnel opens to cars.
The 4.6-kilometre tunnel includes 70,000 square metres of asphalt, 690 kilometres of cabling, 98 jet fans, 1800 lights, 150 security cameras, 175 digital traffic signs and about 80,000 power switches.
