At about 9:40pm the man stopped a police vehicle and informed them of a disturbance between a man and a woman near Hungry Jacks Mt Isa.

Police are requesting this witness contact them to assist with inquiries.

Police located the man and woman from the disturbance and have subsequently charged a 34-year-old Bongaree man with three charges of serious assault police officer and one of obstruct police. 

He is due to appear Mt Isa Magistrates Court on June 1.
