Michelle Erbacher and Edith Medwin came back from a game down to defeat Clipsals, whose team is made up of Teresa Knight and Leanne Rumbles.
In an entertaining decider for spectators, Clipsals managed to take first blood and win the first game, making Gangstars work hard for their win.
Gangstars replied from their slow start to win the next three games, maintaining their status as the team still to beat in the competition.
On the same night, there were four other grand final matches that completed the 2015 volleyball season in Mount Isa at the North West Squash & Fitness centre.
In the women’s Division Two, The Empire Spikes Back defeated She Devils after overcoming a first-game loss.
The Empire Spikes Back celebrated an extremely strong season with the majority of the same players from last season.
In the women’s Division Three, competition newcomers Spike Kids claimed victory over Socialites.
Spike Kids, who are new to volleyball this season, could not buy a win for the first three-quarters of the season, coming in at last place.
However, they managed to win their last three games, which were the most important games.
Gangstars players Michelle Erbacher, Edith Medwin, Rob Dryer, and Ian Saltmere gelled together well to beat A-Team in three games in the Mixed Division One grand final.
A-Team player Adam Kuzmanovic managed to get five consecutive points off Gangstars through some deadly serving, but his efforts were not enough for the win.
In Mixed Division Two, Nameless notched the grand final win against Spiked Punch.
Nameless has improved in leaps and bounds from last season and for that matter, so had Spiked Punch.
Spiked Punch took the first game of the decider but unfortunately was not able to sustain the pressure on the scoreboard.
Nameless secured the next three games to give them the grand final win.
The new season of volleyball will start on June 9 while Mount Isa will also be hosting the Western Games.
Jason Ranie, from North West Squash & Fitness, said this will be the second time NWS&F will host squash (the weekend of July 18) and the first time hosting Rebound Volleyball (the weekend of July 25).
