Sarah Boyd was arrested at a home in Arundel, on the city's northside, on Tuesday morning and later charged with 20 offences stemming from Sunday night's chase, the alleged tomahawk assault of a taxi driver on Saturday night, the attempted hold-up of a service station and her subsequent evasion of police.

She appeared in Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday but made no application for bail.

Boyd was remanded in custody to reappear on July 17.

Her co-accused, Biggera Waters man Joel Gillard, 19, was remanded in custody when he appeared in the same court on multiple charges on Monday.

His application for bail was refused and he has been listed to reappear on Wednesday.

The pair is accused of leading police on an hour long pursuit from Surfer's Paradise to Pacific Pines on Sunday night, in which police cars were rammed and officers opened fire after a tomahawk and hammer were allegedly thrown at them from the car window.

Road spikes were laid in a bid to stop the chase and soon after the car crashed into a residential fence and the occupants fled on foot.

Gillard was apprehended nearby but Boyd allegedly evaded capture.

She is also believed to have been a passenger in a car that evaded police on Monday night.

Among the 20 charges Boyd faces are two counts of dangerous driving, attempted robbery, two counts of failing to stop a car, robbery with violence, two counts of unlawful use of a car, five counts of stealing, five counts of wilful damage to police property, wilful damage and resisting arrest.
