The 2014 runners-up were guided to their 46-32 victory by Tamara Holder and Latasha Venz, while Theresa Whippy and Waireta Emery were sublime for Matariki A.
HV & IS are now undefeated after a strong fourth quarter helped deliver 24-22 win over Good Shepherd Catholic College.
Danielle Uys and Katie Luckman were excellent for the winning side while Phoebe Ryder and Sarah Arsenic stepped up in defence for GSCC.
In Division 2, Matariki Just Do It suffered their first loss going down to Tigers 26-15.
Astrid Ripley and Joeline Haupini (two goals) were outstanding for Tigers while Kimberley Norish (eight goals) and Chloe Brooks played well for Just Do It.
Foxs defeated Matariki B by 10 goals, 27-17.
Yvette Wehlow scored a game-high of 20 for Foxs, with Ashley Burke in support.
Matariki B players Denise Reivi in centre and Julia Yalinatoba in defence were the standouts for the losing team.
In Division 3, Gems secured a 13 goal win over in-form Workpac Wildcats with D’Neeka McLeod bagging 24 goals in the 28-15 win.
Bridoen Schloss (five goals) and Ainsley Luparia had notable performances for Wildcats, while Ariana Desatge was solid in defence for Gems.
NQR Vixens players Bae Rae and Rhiannon Hibberd helped break up their team’s losing streak with a 31-21 win over Bullets.
Michelle Petitt and Marlee Petitt (five goals) were Bullets’ best.
2PH Super Nova came back from a first quarter deficit to beat 2PH Joeys 27-23 in a thriller.
Eliza Durham (16 goals) and Ricarda Makim were standouts for Super Nova.
In Division 4, a huge third quarter by Lenore Krutzfeldt (12 goals) and Renee Moore led 2PH Redbacks to victory over Jelant Vixens 23-19.
Jelissa Kelland in centre and Hayley Whitling in defence were standout performances for the Vixens.
Thunder returned to the winner’s list defeating Tigers Too 30-10.
Diamonds answered back from their 35-point loss to Pythons last week to edge out Scorchers by four points in a close match-up that ended 35-31.
Brooke Herreygers and Melissa Pierce were the Diamonds’ top performers while Erena Arsenich and Hannah Clauson were dominant for Scorchers.
In Division 5, Socialites recorded a 30-point win over Stingers courtesy of a 17-goal haul by Amanda Johnson.
Stingers players Caitlin Beanland and Nikita Miller showed great skills on the court while Socialites player Zoie Keys also had a blinder in the 41-11 win.
Lifesavers suffered a 26-9 defeat to Atull Plumbing Vixens.
