Good Shepherd Catholic College music teacher and senior director Jade Marinelli said the musical Snow off White would be open for the public this weekend on Friday and Saturday night from 7pm. “It is a lively production which has a twist on your normal fairy tale stories,” she said.
“In the last few weeks it has all been coming together – they are singing together and have more confidence on stage.”
Year 10 student Jake Wylie is playing the Magic Mirror and said he came into the role about five weeks late.
“There are other roles I would have preferred, but I think I am starting to get it,’’ he said.
“My first line is ‘boom baby your reflection is in the house’.”
Year 7 student Shawna Lindley will open and close the show.
“It is a different play, but it is exciting and fun,” she said.
“I’ve been singing for a long time and I enjoy the show. I will definitely do it again.”
Year 8 student Shoshone Lupton said it was challenging to remember the right lines, but liked his character, Awol, as he is basically a human calculator.
Olaf the Henchmen is played by Year 9 student Khade Toeke-Dean.
Khade said his character was funny, talked in accent and all the words he said were mixed up.
The play will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic College. There will be snacks available at intermission.
Adult tickets $15 and students $10.
