Aces Blue and Hornets will play each other for the second time is as many weeks when they clash in the first fixture of round eight under lights on Friday night.

Last week, Aces Blue scored a goal in each half, which proved enough to earn a victory over Hornets.

Aces Yellow will be keen to extend their unspoiled run when they take on T-Birds, who are still without a win this season.

First-half goals to Catherine Power and Welita Sloan inspired Yellow to a 2-0 win over their opponents in the last outing.

Hornets, who recently lost to Aces Blue 2-0, will go head-to-head against in-form Pirates on Saturday night.

A brace from Bec Lovelock helped Pirates defeat T-Birds 4-0 in the previous round, which leaves Hornets a tough task  when the two meet.

In the men’s competition, Hornets and T-Birds will be looking to get back to their winning ways after their recent defeats to Aces and Pirates respectively when they come up against each another.

Hornets last won in round six, when Jeremy Webb and Dylan Ullyett led their team to victory over Pirates 2-0, while T-Birds have not tasted a win since Hornets forfeited in round five.

In the other game, in-form teams Aces and Pirates will lock sticks for the first time in three weeks.

Pirates, who beat Aces 4-0 last time, had Steven Milligan to thank for his winning goal against T-Birds last week, while Aces turned it on against the Hornets with six goals to none. Round seven results
