A 22-year-old man's been charged after allegedly shining a laser pointer at a police helicopter.

The Pol Air 2 was attempting to land at Archerfield around 12.30am Sunday when a light was shone directly at cabin crew.
Police tracked a car to a nearby service station on Boundary Road and arrested the alleged offender.
The Slacks Creek man will face Richlands Magistrates Court on June 16 charged with threatening the safety of an aircraft, common assault and possessing a restricted item.
