Aaron Williams and Jameson Billy kicked four goals each for Young Guns to help snap the Tigers five-game winning streak.
Despite a low-scoring second half by both teams, Young Guns dominated the contest from the first bounce winning 13.13 (91) to 4.8 (32).
Lake Nash continued their rampant start to its games on Saturday with first half goals to Aaron Williams, Jameson Billy, Jamieson Turner (two each), while Garrick Ray, Desmand King, and Elijah Mills kicked one each.
Tigers, on a rare occasion this season, could not find their rhythm with only three first half goals courtesy of Matt Dunn, Bernard Crawford, and Greg Warren.
In the third quarter, the game was evenly balanced although a moment of individual brilliance from Young Guns player Jameson Billy led to the full-forward kicking his third and fourth goals of the match.
Young Guns player Aaron Williams notched his fourth six-pointer of the afternoon to start the fourth quarter off while Tigers player Sam Stephens ensured his team were not kept goalless for the entire second half adding a goal to his name.
Tigers coach Craig Brice gave credit to his players for finishing the game off somewhat strongly.
“We were competitive in the last half,” Brice said.
“We were having a crack. They (the players) maintained our integrity, courage, and discipline. They did all the basics right in the last half.”
Brice lamented not having up to five key on-ballers to use for Saturday’s top of the table clash, but wasn’t too worried at the sight of one poor result.
“They were good. But it will be a different game next week.”
“With our boys, to their credit they didn’t bleed at the end. There was one goal each in the last quarter.”
