They may not go down as the greatest Origin players of all time but a host of players left their mark on the Origin arena for different reasons.

1. Jamie Goddard: Played four games for Queensland, but the crafty hooker was best known for leaving Andrew Johns with a mouthful of blood after going toe to toe with the Immortal during the 1997 series.

2. Brett Hodgson: The image of Hodgson being "rag-dolled" by Gorden Tallis is entrenched in Origin history. The mismatch saw Tallis drag Hodgson 15 metres sideways and eventually into touch from a kick return.  

3. Mark Coyne: "That's not a try, that's a miracle". With those words, Ray Warren describes the efforts of Mark Coyne to score the matchwinner during the 1994 series. It will go down as arguably the best ever Origin try.

4. Darryl Brohman: Before he was a media funnyman, Brohman was a skilful prop, who represented Queensland twice. He had his representative career cut short when he was struck – defenceless – by a blatant elbow by Les Boyd as Brohman carried the ball.

5. Craig Greenhill: The tough Cronulla and then Penrith prop became the first player sent off in Origin history during game two of the 1996 series. Greenhill was marched for a high tackle on Paul Harragon in the 63rd minute, with the Blues going on to win the game.

6. Brett Finch: He wasn't even supposed to play in the 2006 Origin clash after being called in as a late inclusion. Finch went on to kick a 32 metre field goal in the 79th minute to give the Blues a win.

7. Adam Mogg: The headlines screamed "Adam Who" when the underrated Canberra outside back was picked on the wing for Queensland. Mogg would have the last laugh, scoring two tries in his debut game to help Queensland to a 30-6 win.

8.  Phil Duke: A shock selection from bush football, Duke was involved in an in-goal mix up with teammate Phil Sigsworth. The error gifted Wally Lewis a try in the final game of 1982. Duke would not play another Origin.

9. Brett White: The NSW prop knocked out opposite Steve Price with a punch during the final moments of the 2009 series. The incident sparked a dramatic end to the dead rubber.

10. Billy Moore: It is the chant which has become synonymous with Origin. As Moore walked  onto the field to start the second half of an Origin match in 1995 his cry of "Queenslander" was picked up by the cameras.

11. Wati Holmwood: While he may not look out of place packing down in one of the forward packs, Wati Holmwood did make it on the field during the 2013 series. The streaker showed more than he should have as he disrupted play.
