The ‘Minute to Win It’ fundraiser at the Buffs Club on Saturday night will be based on the TV show, with teams of three to five competing against each other in a series of activities.
Event organiser Lily Makim said the fundraiser was for a worthy cause.
‘‘Paws, Hoofs and Claws do such a wonderful job of caring for the animals in our region so I wanted to help support and promote them in any small way that I can,” she said.
“I have always loved animals myself so I appreciate what they are doing.’’
PHC’s Sue Carson commended the support of Ms Makim.
‘‘I think it is wonderful to see a young member of Mount Isa’s community come forward to help our group in such a way,’’ she said.
‘‘Lily has put in weeks of work making sure that everything goes according to plan and we are looking forward to it. I think there will be a lot of laughs for both participants and spectators.’’
Tickets are $20, which includes a door prize, your entry to the games, a free drink and nibbles. They can be pre-ordered through email lilianne_91@hotmail.com or at the door.
Families with children are welcome and there will be colouring and gift bags for the little ones.
Doors open at 5.30pm and the action starts at 6pm.
The bar will be open for refreshments and platters will be served.
PCH thanked the generosity of businesses Buffs Club, Frame World, Brogden’s Furniture & Bedding, Isa Florist, Pharmacy First and Ruby and Birdie for donating quality gifts to be won in the games and the raffles.
