The Firebirds will become the only team to string together two 10-game winning streaks in the ANZ Championship if they claim their final regular season match against the Steel.

Netball Queensland is pushing for a permanent home venue and training base for the Firebirds, who have sold out every Brisbane match this year at the Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Queensland will host the inaugural Australian conference final at the 10, 000-seat Brisbane Entertainment Centre against the winner of an elimination final between the West Coast Fever and NSW Swifts.

Geitz hopes the final will prove a catalyst for a new netball facility.

"I think it's an exciting opportunity for us to show and our fans to show everyone just how amazing this ganme is, how amazing this product is and how much support we actually have," she said.

"What  the capacity of this game in Queensland is and just how big can it potentially get  is the exciting part of it all."

"The netball community in Queensland, it's so strong and we want our young girls to want to strive to be a professional netballer and to carry that dream out.

"I think having that home venue, it's not only an opportunity for the Firebirds but it's also just a place where everything netball in Queensland can come together. So, that would be the ultimate."

While they've already locked up that home final, Geitz said there was no dead rubber feel ahead of the Steels clash on Sunday.

"It's vital for us - we need to ensure that mentally we're setting ourselves up as well.

"It's really important for us to keep that momentum going and to continue to prove to not only ourselves but everyone else that we are the team to beat in the competition."

Queensland premier Annastacia Palaszcsuk and Sports Minister Bill Byrne will be attending the match on Sunday.
