Cook MP Billy Gordon claims he has been advised he has been cleared of any charges following a two-month police investigation into allegations of domestic violence.

However a police spokeswoman said the investigation was ongoing.
Mr Gordon, who stood down from the Labor Party in March ahead of his expulsion for "dishonesty" told his local News Corp paper he would not be charged.
The first week of Queensland's new hung parliament in March ended in shambles when Mr Gordon was made to make a "personal explanation" after it was revealed he owed thousands of dollars in child support to two of his children by a former partner.
Part of that woman's plea for help in recouping the costs, which was sent to various Labor and LNP MPs, were allegations of violence during their relationship five to eight years ago, including a letter Mr Gordon had written to the woman apologising for his "monstrous" behaviour.
Hauled in for a meeting with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and deputy premier Jackie Trad and asked if he had anything else to declare, Mr Gordon said he did not.
The next day his criminal record - which had been protected under rehabilitated offenders laws - became known and Ms Palaszczuk announced she had asked the party to sack Mr Gordon and called for him to resign from parliament.
Instead, he sat as an independent on the cross bench, forming a
loose "north Queensland alliance" with the two Katter Party MPs, and
has committed his support to the Labor Government in the case of any
confidence motion.
He has since voted with the LNP and Labor, with his position
making his vote one of the most powerful in the hung parliament, which
Labor leads through the support of Nicklin MP Peter Wellington and
Mr Cook.
The two major parties engaged in a "who knew what, first" battle
following the allegations, with both accusing the other of using the
situation for political gain.
Mr Gordon has been contacted for comment.
Public Housing Minister Leeanne Enoch, who was left to answer questions about her former party colleague as her scheduled press conference coincided with the news said it was "unlikely" Mr Gordon would rejoin the party, if cleared.
"I've not been given any more official information from the police, so all of that investigation is still ongoing, so of course we need to let that play out," she said.
"I've not received any information from the police; we will let that investigation play out as we would any investigation."
But she said the Premier's decision to force his resignation was the right one at the time.
"I think at the time, what had happened were a series of events that created a breaking of trust between the Premier and Mr Gordon," she said.
"That trust was broken and that is why we ended up in the position that we did and I think that is why in the end Mr Gordon decided to resign from the party."
