The man responsible for integrity in Queensland's racing industry as the greyhound live baiting scandal broke has been stood down for a second time and asked to prove why he should keep his job.

Racing Queensland served Wade Birch, its stewards and integrity operations general manager, with a show cause notice on Tuesday morning.
"In the interest of due process, Racing Queensland will be making no further comment at this time," a spokesman said in a statement.
Mr Birch was previously stood down in February, pending an internal review of the integrity department and its inspection procedures.
"Information that has to come to light in the past week suggests there are procedural issues within the integrity area of the business," Queensland All Codes Racing Industry Board chairman Kevin Dixon said at the time.
"As Mr Birch is the officer responsible for that department, the board has taken the decision that it is appropriate to stand Mr Birch down while those shortcomings are further understood."
Following the review, Racing Queensland reinstated Mr Birch in April, saying "a number of the concerns relevant to greyhound racing within the department pre-dated the current management".
A Racing Queensland spokesman refused to give a date Mr Birch was required to "show cause" by.
Racing Queensland CEO Darren Condon was served with a show cause notice earlier this month and delivered a letter to Racing Minister Bill Byrne on Wednesday.
A spokesman for the minister said he couldn't say when a decision would be made on whether Mr Condon could keep his job.
On Tuesday afternoon, Racing Queensland announced Detective Superintendent Mark Ainsworth had been seconded to the organisation in the role of "integrity adviser".
Det Supt Ainsworth led the Queensland Greyhound Taskforce, charged with investigating live baiting.
Racing Queensland said the senior officer's role would be to oversee the MacSporran Commission's recommendations.
"Mr Ainsworth will be tasked with providing advice around the Racing Queensland restructure, as well as advising the CEO and Board on strategic and operational issues impacting on the delivery of Integrity and Stewarding Services," the spokesman said in a statement.
