Buchanan Park’s bull riding rodeo stadium was the venue for stop number 25 on the PBR tour. Seeds won the three-round format competition in a two-night event attended by 40 riders in round one on Friday night.

Seeds first recorded 82 points on Frank Biddle’s 13-year-old award-winning bull Blue dog Toyland, which was enough for third place in the round, and the first of his three successful rides.  

It came down to the last ride of the night and a much-anticipated match up, Ben Seeds on Blossom. Blossom, who was recently purchased by Brandenburg’s NSW stock contractor George Hempenstall, came with a big reputation and had previously bucked Seeds off. 

Seeds delivered where it mattered most with an 84.5 points score, which was ultimately enough to secure his second event win for the season. 

This event was the second-last chance for riders wanting to qualify for the elite PBR Cup Series Tour, with the first event to take place at the Cairns Convention Centre on July 4.
