Three young people found with guns on a large property south of Brisbane have been arrested and taken for questioning.

Police handcuffed two boys and a girl of unknown age after responding to reports of gunshots at a property in Logan Village just after 2pm.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the police helicopter, Polair, was sent up to help officers search the Bobermien Road property.
Television helicopter footage shows the teens lying down on the ground as at least six police, one with a dog, arrive to handcuff them.

A police spokesman said the youths appeared to have been shooting the weapons on a family member's property.
He said there were no reports they were shooting at people and it appeared they were using the weapons for target shooting.
