Metro was facing a one-win tournament before Ben Crocker scored from the goal line to snatch a five-point win over South Australia in game six.

Midfielders Jade Gresham and Harley Balic were key players in helping work Metro work its way back into the match after scoring just one goal to four in the opening quarter.

Ryan Clarke, Alex Morgan and Crocker also had plenty of the ball, with unconventional forward Callum Moore providing a few highlights.

Luke Partington finished off an excellent championships for SA with a 19-possession, six-tackle game but top prospect Aaron Francis was well contained having dominated Metro in their first match.

Vic Country will play Western Australia in the final game on Thursday, having sewn up the title with its win over SA last week.

Queensland will play NSW-ACT for the second division title before that match, with Tasmania's 13-point win over the Northern Territory not enough to keep its chances alive.

The Tasmanians kicked six final quarter goals to overcome the spirited NT side, with Ben McGuinness putting his side back in front with just 90 seconds left.

Goals to Luke Webb and Nat Franklin then sealed the win, Tasmania's second for the series after an opening round win over Queensland.

Midfielder Kieran Lovell completed an excellent championships for Tasmania, with his 34 disposal game including eight marks, eight clearances and three goals.

Mitchell Hibberd, a possible top 25 pick later this year having overcome knee and shoulder injuries, was also impressive, tallying 24 possessions and four inside 50s.

Daniel Rioli, Brandan Parfitt and Jamie Hampton were among the standouts for the NT, with Rioli, a second cousin of Cyril, taking a couple of smart marks in the forward line.
