The Blue are preparing to attack Queensland's inexperienced outside backs as NSW centre Josh Morris readies himself for the Brisbane backlash as the squad move to enemy territory.

Michael Jennings' man-of-the-match exploits in game two has underpinned the blueprint NSW plan to unleash on Queensland with centre partner Morris hoping to get a taste of the action.

Jennings was near unstoppable as he outplayed Queensland veteran Justin Hodges. While Jennings will again square off with Hodges – in what will be the Queenslander's final Origin game – the Maroons have a new-look centre/wing combination.

Greg Inglis's shift to fullback to replace the injured Billy Slater will mean Will Chambers and Darius Boyd will combine on Queensland's lethal left edge, while Hodges will play alongside debutant Dane Gagai.

The Blues are planning to attack Gagai who has spent the bulk of his NRL career at centre.

"The inexperience there from Dane, it's his first game he will be feeling a lot of pressure," Morris said. "We've got to look to expose that. With Will [Chambers] playing out of position as well we can look to expose that. The left side did a great job in game two of exposing them and hopefully we can get a bit more ball this time and expose the right side.

"They don't want to put Dane and Will on the same side with limited experience. They'll put Will in front of me and Dane alongside Justin."

Morris was left to play a supporting role in game two as Jennings stole the show. The Blues right centre said he hoped himself and Will Hopoate would see more ball on the Blues right side.

"That's the way the game plan went and we saw what type of game Michael had," Morris said. "Hopefully we do the same thing. It'll be good if we could see a bit more ball. The way game two panned out, it worked out really well attacking the left side. When it's like that you just need to make sure you're doing the right things in defence and when you get the ball you make the most of it."

Morris has spent the bulk of his Origin career trying to shut down Inglis. Although he will not come into as regular contact with Inglis in Origin III he still expects the Queensland's fullback to be a handful.

"GI is probably going to get more of a run up now when I have to tackle him so it's probably going to be harder," Morris said.

The Blues left their Coffs Harbour training base on Sunday afternoon and headed to Brisbane. It is an environment which can either motivate or intimate according to Morris. Morris said he thrived on the hostile welcome.

"I love going out as soon as we get there and going for the walk," Morris said.  "It's good to see how passionate they are. If you use it the right way you can use it as motivation. It's good to walk the mall and see who the braves ones are. They have that 'Queenslander' chant every 50 metres as you walk through the mall. It's everyone. It's not just the older blokes. The kids get stuck into you. Some of the them are funny, some are over the top.

"You can get blokes from buildings shouting out stuff then you can get the odd bloke coming up to you and saying it to your face. You just have to laugh about it.  Some of the boys might be intimidated. Other players use it as motivation."
