Pirates had three different goal scorers in the first half through Vanessa Smith, Jodie Peats, and Monique Sanchez to give a 3-0 lead at the break.
Smith and Peats completed their brace of goals with a second half goal each to keep Pirates’ unbeaten streak to three matches.
A hat-rick from Caroline Nicol and two goals from Jodie Wright helped T-Birds to a rare 5-1 win over Hornets, who had Kate Lovett score its only goal.
Aces Yellow and Aces Blue remain undefeated in the competition after playing out another 0-0 stalemate in an entertaining top of the table clash.
In the men’s competition, Aces and Hornets could not be separated with the game finishing 1-1 with Hornets snapping up its two-game losing streak.
Both goals came in the second half with Jeremy Webb on target for Hornets while Ryan Philip scored Aces’ goal.
In the other game, T-Birds and Pirates shared the spoils in a goalless 0-0 draw with Pirates still yet to suffer defeat in its last four games.
