Drinking responsibly and being safe should be at the top of everyone’s list along with having a good time.
For those who want to drink and have a big weekend, remember there are cabs or walk.
With families and visitors in town, it will swell throughout this busy period.
It is our job as members of the North West community to show them a good time and we can be responsible.
There are measures in place for parents and individuals to keep them safe, but everyone has a part to play.
Mount Isa Neighbourhood Watch will be providing Tag a Tot for parents at the Mount Isa Rodeo.
For this reporter, I am anticipating my first Curry Merry Muster Festival and Mount Isa Rodeo.
I cannot wait to experience what the North West can offer, seeing people happy in an uncertain time, hopefully these events bring out the best in people.
People will dust off their cowboy boots and hats, eat deep fried food, listen to live music and take a break from reality.
