The five-year-old gelding took out the 1000-metre feature race for Julia Creek trainer Tanya Parry on the nose to Olivia Cairns-trained Exceeded ($2.00), followed by Ben Williams-trained Del Palio ($7.00).
Parry’s bolter upset top-dollar favourites Hidden Duck ($2.50) and Steinberg ($2.80), who finished in seventh and fourth places respectively.
The 1200m Class 3 Plate, was won by Cameron Brown-trained and race favourite Skazia ($2.00), who blitzed ahead of Parry-trained Diurnal Tigers ($7) and Fiscal Cliff ($26) by almost two lengths.
Mount Isa trainer Robert Burow had a winner in the Class B Handicap (1000m) with Good Mood ($2.80), ousting Grant Wiles-trained Flight Ruler ($9) and favourite Top Decision ($2.60) by less than a length.
Mount Isa jockey Dan Ballard earned honours for the day, including three placegetters, scoring this time in the Maiden Plate (800m) on Cairns-trained Theatre Boy ($3), beating Raining Dollars ($3.50) and Brown Paper Bear ($8).
Julia Creek trainer Grant Wiles dominated the Class 2 Handicap (800m) with Rivers End ($5) taking a comfortable win over Parry-trained Brother Bob ($3.60) and Romanticize ($7) by 2.5 lengths.
