The minor premiers were matched in the early stages of the tie at Legend Oval on Saturday, but eventually trod over the bottom-placed side.
Forward Brodie Deverell kicked an equal game-high tally of three goals for Tigers, along with skipper Niall Kilcoyne.
Captain Michael Dombroski and Nathan Mann lead the way for Rovers with a brace each in the defeat.
The Rovers were in touch of their opponents, scoring the last two goals of the first quarter, having only to recover a 22-point deficit.
But the second term proved far more detrimental for Rovers, who could not hold off five Tigers’ goals, with only two in response.
The Tigers, led by Kilcoyne in midfield, kept Rovers goalless heading into half-time, and ultimately created a 54-point margin with a whole half of footy still to go.
The second half was one-way traffic, with the competition front-runners having 11 different goal scorers by the final siren (Tigers - 17.9.111 to Rovers - 9.8.62).
Rovers’ loss means all positions on the ladder are settled with, essentially, two dead rubber fixtures next weekend in the last round of the season before the finals series.
