A brace each to Andrew Wallace, Andrew Fraser and Rory Page helped to deliver the competition front-runners its second consecutive win on Saturday night.
Atlas A started the game with blistering tempo, getting on the scoreboard early with goals from Fraser and Wallace.
Concordia A was suffocated of ball possession with players finding themselves chasing Atlas A shadows for scattered periods of the game.
Rory Page had the opportunity to make it 3-0 in the 34th minute after missing a header from close-range off Wallace’s cross from the left.
Central midfielder Billy Orsag joined in with the shots-at-goal fest, booting the ball over the cross-bar from long-range on a couple of occasions before the referee blew the whistle for half-time.
Atlas A restarted the match more of the same way in the first half, controlling the ball and playing a fluent passing game.
The floodgates opened soon after with Page, Fraser, and Wallace stretching Atlas A’s lead out to 6-0 by full-time.
Despite securing a clean sheet, Atlas A coach Andrew Frahm said there was still plenty of room for improvement in his team’s performance.
“There were still a number of things we could have improved on in the second half from the first half,” he said.
Frahm said the fitness of his players prevailed in the win, especially in the second half.
“I think they were tiring a little bit. We managed to keep the match intensity up, which is probably what helped us get the win in the end. Having three substitutions used on the bench made a difference too.”
In the earlier game, Parkside A remain undefeated in 12 games after scoring six unanswered goals against International A.
Jordan Hennessy and Josh Elliot bagged two goals each for Parkside A while Damien Boughton and Pat Taylor added a single goal each.
