Veteran utility Andrew Walker has endured a frustrating year through injury but has pulled up well from his return in the VFL.

Blues football operations chief Andrew McKay said Walker would be in line for a senior recall against Collingwood on Saturday, having not played at the top level since round 12.

"It was good to see him back - he actually played quite well. The knee pulled up really well. He will be putting his hand up for selection for the senior team this week and it will be left to the coaches to decide whether they pick him or not," McKay told the club website.
