Other recognised faces at the rodeo included Pauline Hanson, Federal Member for Kennedy Bob Katter, and broadcaster Alan Jones.
The three of them were known to be in Brophy's Boxing Tent on the Friday night.
A Mount Isa Rodeo organiser casually mentioned a $100 challenge was made for anyone who could get a photograph of Mr Katter and State Member for Mount Isa Rob Katter, Ms Hanson, Jones and Ms Palaszczuk together when they were in the corporate area on Friday night.
Nobody was able to complete the challenge.
Ms Palaszczuk observed how strong the Mount Isa community was. She said she met attendees at the rodeo who travelled from Cloncurry, Mackay, St George, and New South Wales.
Her attendance at rodeo combined with closed meetings which included further discussion of the Northern Territory gas pipeline.
"I have come here to try to show support to the community, it is also about meeting with the mayor, councillors, and took time to meet with the gulf mayors," Ms Palaszczuk said.
