They joined the Camooweal and Mount Isa attendees, as well as country musician Tania Kernaghan who helped judge the fashions on the field.
Kernaghan was puzzled what attributes to judge the men on, so asked them to face the other direction.
Will Seymour from Split Rock Station won the men’s fashions on the field once he turned to face Kernaghan.
Mr Seymour and his partner Jill were competitors in the best dressed couples.
In an attempt to cut the number of rivals he urged the judges to make a new rule; “all the couples have to kiss with tongues to make sure they are couples.”
Another competitor standing next to her partner was unimpressed with Mr Seymour’s suggestion.
“You are pushing the line, Will,” she said.
Mr Seymour’s strategy did not pay off, and couple Sam Walton and Vanessa Fox took the prize.
Bonnie Anderson, from Mount Isa, won the Under 25s women fashions on the field and Bev Webber, from Mellish Park Station, won the over 25s women prize.
Cheryn Crossland from Mount Isa won the Millinery division.
Grace Doyle, 5, was the winner of the junior girls fashions on the field.
Linkyn MacMillan, 8, was the winner of the junior boys fashions on the field.
Violet Hill won the Under 2 section of the junior fashions.
