The two day race meeting on September 4 and 5 has attracted 238 entries, 23 of which have been for the Birdsville Cup this Saturday.
"The BRC [Birdsville Race Club] is delighted with the exceptional nominations which represent more than 30 per cent increase on 2014,” said Birdsville Race Club Vice President Gary Brook.
Mr Brook said trainers from New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland would attend the meet.
“To have three states represented by 24 different trainers highlights the national appeal of our event," he said.
Together with Racing Queensland, the BRC has lifted this year’s total prize money offering by 16 per cent to $200,000; an initiative to catch the attention of more owners and trainers.
